What does Gisoo mean?
Gisoo is an ancient word for, "woman's hair" or "ringlet", in Persian.

The owners, husband and wife, Frankie Noor and Sunny Mazandarani, sought to combine over 25 years of experience in the hair industry and business management with their passion for making people feel their best. The result is Gisoo, a luxurious, fashion forward salon in Charlotte, NC, where customer service is the number one priority. about the owners

"After coming from a family of successful stylists, I felt it was only natural to follow in those footsteps. As a child, I remember my mom doing up-do's and razor cuts; using big roller sets and having the best products of aerosol hair spray and some kind of setting gel. That was in late 70’s when we lived in Persia. When I was 12, we moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. I started working with my sister, Arezo, after I graduated high school. She had recently opened a small salon; so small that I had to learn how to do everything. This included: makeup, hair, nails, and brow threading. From the beginning, we believed in education and continuous training. This industry is constantly changing and you need to be on top of your game. Over the years I had an opportunity to study at Vidal Sassoon academy in Miami and Los Angeles. I also took advanced color and cutting classes twice a year with Aveda and many known platinum artists in the industry such as: David Adams, Nick Arrojo, Frederic Fekkai, Antoinette Beenders and Allen Ruiz (global creative directors of Aveda), and many, many more. I also traveled to Milan, New York, Miami, and LA for training. I’ve taken part in numerous fashion shows in Charlotte and my work has been featured on a make-over episode for a show on TLC. I have trained numerous individuals and have been fortunate to watch many of them grow and become very successful stylists. My passion is to learn and teach. I love working with new talent; they are fresh, exciting, teach me a lot, and most importantly keep me motivated and young. After 23 years of working in one of the most successful salons in Charlotte, I decided to take all of my knowledge and create my own salon with the help of my sweet husband, Frankie. Frankie has 20 years of business and management experience and is the Co-Owner of Gisoo Salon. I have established long-term relationships with many of my clients. Making a client feel beautiful is extremely rewarding for me. Individuality is also very important. It is vital to really listen to client’s needs, and give them a hair style that is realistic for their lifestyle. To me, every client is a celebrity; I love making people feel beautiful."

Gisoo Salon does not accept gratuity on credit cards. For your convenience we are able to offer cash back on DEBIT card purchases.

Please allow 48 hours for cancellation and rescheduling requests. After the first time same day cancelation and/or NO SHOW a charge of $20 will be assessed to your next appointment.
 
If you are 15 minutes or later to your scheduled appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.

We are happy to accept returns and exchanges for Aveda products within 2 weeks of purchase and when accompanied by a receipt.

All jewelry sales are final and professional equipment is covered by manufacturer's warranties.

Each customer is requested to change into a salon smock or gown before receiving a chemical service. If you choose to remain in your own attire, Gisoo Salon cannot be held responsible for damages to clothing.

We cordially request that you refrain from bringing your children along on your visit. We not only think this is an unsafe environmnet for children, but it also detracts from the tranquil experiance we wish to provide for our guests.

If you are not satisfied with your hair service please contact Gisoo Salon within 7 days from your appointment. Gisoo Salon does not accept responsibility for improper maintenance of any hair service. We suggest the exclusive use of Aveda products. Ask your designer for proper recommendations.

Gift cards are not transferrable, may not be returned, may not be redeemed for cash, or used to purchase another gift card. Service prices are subject to change. Gisoo Salon is not responsible for lost or stolen cards.
